Dr. Nancy Fraiture
Dr. Nancy Fraiture was born and raised in Belgium where she nurtured her passion for animal care. Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Liège in 2006, she worked in private practice with small animals in France and Belgium, continuing to train in ophthalmology, a field that particularly fascinates her. Thus, in 2010, Dr Nancy Fraiture received the Diplôme d’Ecole d’Alfort en Ophtalmologie Vétérinaire.
She then practiced in Guadeloupe, an overseas department of France, where she was the practice owner. She trained in veterinary endoscopy, and particularly enjoyed working in all spectrums of small animal medicine, ranging from preventive family medicine to the management of more complex medical and surgical cases, with an ever-growing interest in ophthalmology and surgery. She then trained in laparoscopic surgery, at Colorado State University.
Dr. Nancy Fraiture joined Westview Veterinary Services in 2022 coming to live with her partner and young children in North Vancouver. The family wanted to live in Canada and raise the children in the beautiful environment of the North Shore, with their two cats Hemingway and Eva. While being fluent in both French and English, she pursues her passion for veterinary medicine with the desire to always promote the quality-of-care services and the cohesion of teamwork, for the well-being of animals and the families who adore them.
