Dr. Megan Atwood completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of British Columbia and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced general and emergency medicine for several years before discovering her passion for Diagnostic Imaging.  Megan was incredibly fortunate to complete a Diagnostic Imaging Internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, in Houston, Texas and a second Diagnostic Imaging Internship at Canada West Veterinary Specialists, in Vancouver, BC.  To further increase her ultrasound experience, she worked as a sonographer at Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty hospital for over three years.  Dr. Megan recently opened a mobile ultrasound practice Ravenwood Veterinary Imaging and is delighted to be providing ultrasound services at Westview Veterinary Services. Off duty, Megan enjoys all the west coast has to offer including mountain biking, hiking, running, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, and gardening. She also is passionate about traveling, cooking and most importantly, spending time with her family including her two young daughters and cats Lily and Douglas Fur (aka Dougie).
