Education: Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan
Dr. Amy Harrington was born and raised on the North Shore before she moved to Montreal to complete her undergraduate degree at McGill University. She graduated with a major in Anatomy and Cell Biology and a minor in Business. After university she took a year off and traveled the world. She visited a total of 29 countries in 365 days. For her, the highlight of every country largely involved her experiences with animals – swimming with manta rays, interacting with kangaroos, volunteering at an Elephant Nature Park, and adventuring through the Serengeti on a safari. These unforgettable experiences helped her realize her dream to become a veterinarian.
Upon returning to Canada, Amy spent four cold winters at the University of Saskatchewan. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. After starting her career at a busy multi-vet hospital in Richmond, she was beyond excited to finally move back to the North Shore and thrilled to join the team at Westview Veterinary Services. Amy has a special interest in internal medicine and overall pet wellness. She is passionate about working with owners to make veterinary visits as positive as possible.
