Pet Nutrition Consultations

At Westview, we believe that good nutrition is one of the most meaningful ways we can support your pet’s long-term health and happiness. To help our clients make informed choices, we are pleased to offer dedicated Pet Nutrition Consultations for pets with medical needs, weight concerns, or for families simply wanting guidance on choosing the right diet.

Our Veterinary Assistant and Nutrition Advisor, Raia, leads these consultations with a warm, supportive approach. Raia holds a Royal Canin Nutritional Advisor Certificate (2024) and is currently completing the next-level Royal Canin Nutritionist program. She completed her Veterinary Assistant program through Penn Foster College, graduating in March 2025, where she gained additional training in small animal nutrition as part of her studies.

Her education allows her to provide balanced, evidence-based recommendations tailored to your pet’s unique needs. Raia also works closely with our veterinary diet representatives, allowing her to stay current with therapeutic nutrition options, emerging research, and specialized diet formulations.

What a Nutrition Consultation with Raia Includes

Your consultation can take place over the phone or in person, depending on what works best for you.

  • During this appointment, Raia will:

  • Discuss your pet’s history, lifestyle, current diet, and any concerns you may have

  • Review recent medical notes and recommendations from our veterinarians

  • Assess body condition scoring and caloric needs

  • Identify nutritional goals specific to your pet (weight loss, GI support, skin/coat health, kidney support, etc.)

  • Provide personalized diet recommendations, feeding plans, and treat guidance

  • Collaborate closely with our veterinarians if your pet has a more complex or medical case

For the best care, consultations require that your pet is up to date on their wellness exam with one of our veterinarians, as Raia works alongside the medical team to support pets with more extensive health needs.

Our goal is to make nutrition understandable, stress-free, and tailored to your pet. Whether you’re trying to sort through diet options or managing a specific condition, we’re here to help guide you every step of the way.
