Maureen recently joined Westview Veterinary Hospital. She graduated from Granville College with a diploma as Veterinary Technician Assistant in April 2022. She also studied business, Fine Art and Illustration before entering the vet industry. She has always been around animals and believes that companion pets are important to our well-being.  Born in South America, she has been in the company of alpacas in the Andes to penguins in Patagonia and always visits a nature sanctuary when traveling.  When visiting Mexico, she volunteers at a shelter caring for, educating, and rehoming street animals. In her leisure time, she can be found hiking and boating with friends and family or with her sketchbook illustrating animals for stories about pets for a future childrens book alongside her two feral cats Benny and Pucci.
